October Newsletter 2020

Hi All, I hope you are keeping well during this challenging time. I’m sure we all felt

the same disappointment at going into another National Lockdown but November 9th

is approaching quickly and at least the rubbish weather makes staying at home more bearable.

A get well soon message to any of our members who have suffered from ill health recently

and those who are currently unwell. These are difficult times for us all.

Take care and stay safe.

Refurbishment:

As you may have seen, the external wall and ceiling underneath the balcony has been painted to create another outside area. Many thanks to Michaela, Ellinore, Kerry, Helen, Jenny, Nigel and Keith and to Ian for supplying the materials. I hope you all agree it has made the area much more appealing.

News

Fund raiser:
A very successful tennis tournament was organised by Heulwen to collect money for Mumbles and Gower Marie Curie Group. Great fun was had by all and an amazing total of £555 was raised. This included money raised selling cakes and also from donations received over the bar. Thank you all so very much for your generosity.
Men’s tennis night:

It has been good to see that the men’s tennis night is up and running successfully. See you all on court again one day soon.

Junior Team Event Sunday 18th October (Photos below):

This Team event was for players from the Swansea area only (due to local Covid travel restrictions). It was an event that involved skills challenges and tennis matches. Players all scored points for their team.

A really good day was enjoyed by all! Thank you to all those involved in the organising of this event … So lovely to see the youngsters having such good fun, as can be seen from the photos below.
