Playing tennis – moving out of lockdown

Playing Tennis – Guidelines

Following the recent announcement, we are pleased to confirm that we can all start playing tennis (singles) again from Monday June 22nd 2020. The guidelines state that members of the same family are also permitted to play doubles

If you decide you wish to play, please would you follow the steps below:

1) Book a court using MyCourts. For those of you who have not done this before, the web address is:

- If you have forgotten your password, you can request a new one, found in the member’s login box on the home page

2) When booking a court, please ensure that you include the names of ALL players.

3) When arriving at the court, please allow others to leave before you enter (wait away from the gate)

4) Do not touch, with your hands, any racquet or tennis balls other than your own. Please mark your tennis balls

5) Avoid changing ends (or change at opposite sides of the net)

6) Ensure you wash / sanitise your hands before and after playing

7) Maintain social distancing at all times

8) The tennis courts are open for exercise only, once you have finished playing please leave the premises at once

9) Normal club rules and regulations apply

1) The clubhouse (and toilets) will not be open at this stage. Please note there will also be no access to the first aid kit or defibrillator

2) Sports Clubs are being periodically monitored to ensure the government guidelines relating to social distancing are being met. It is essential, therefore, that members book courts and DO NOT just turn up and play

Please adhere to these guidelines, as any breach may lead to the club being closed again
